The Rotary Club of Genoa Genoa work aims to offer the symbol of the port of Genoa that fulfills the function of memory, but for future generations. The initiative was realized through the establishment of a design competition for the design of a work dedicated to the "container", the symbol of the port and the economic prosperity associated with it, which will be awarded a prize of 5,000 €.
Until March 31 the 141 competitors who responded to the invitation "Competition for the creation of an urban symbol dedicated to the container held by the Rotary Club can send their paintings to the jury. "The call of the Rotary - confirmed the President of the Rotary Club of Genoa, Francesco Calcagno - the hugely successful and the participants centoquarantuno in all, come from all over Italy and some European countries.Thus we are very satisfied and we expect the project very interesting "-
The winning of the competition is destined to be placed in an area of attraction for citizens and visitors to the city, chosen preferably within the coastal areas of urban transformation. The contest is sponsored by Rotary Club of Genoa Port Authority, the Municipality and the Province of Genoa and Liguria. The award ceremony is scheduled for May 30. The Rotary Club of Genoa will seek to promote, within a reasonable time after the end of the contest (maximum four months), the exhibition of projects received.
