Costa Favolosa, new flagship of Costa Crociere, will be christened on 2 July to Trieste



Costa Favolosa, the new flagship of Costa Crociere about to completion near the shipbuilding plant of Fincantieri to Marghera, will be christened next the 2 July to Trieste. He has announced today to Trieste the president and managing director of Costa Crociere, Pier Luigi Foschi, in the course of a press conference to which they have participated the president of the Harbour Authority of Trieste, Marina Monassi, the mayor of Trieste, Roberto Dipiazza, the president of the Province of Trieste, Maria Teresa Bassa Poropat, and president of the Region Friuli Venice Julia, Renzo Tondo.

The event will be public, opened to the city, and will constitute pays to the 150 years of the Unit of Italy. "Baptism of Costa Favolosa in Italy, to Trieste - it has confirmed Gloomy - wants to be pays to the Italian excellence and the history of our beautifulst Country, than this year it celebrates its 150 years". With this purpose the manifestation sees the support and the collaboration of the Region Friuli Venice Julia, of the Province of Trieste, the Municipality of Trieste, the Harbour Authority of Trieste and the Prefecture. The show that will accompany baptism intends to celebrate the characters of the Italian identity: the art, the beauty, music, the personages, the history, through an extraordinary experience that involves all the atmosphere around the square, from the sea, to the palaces, to the sky.

The total costs of the investment supported by Costa Crociere for this new ship are of about 420 million euros.
