The initiative, that it sees the coming participation of partner from Spain, France, Slovenia and Italy, has the scope to construct a computer science platform in a position to supporting the decision maker of the field of the transports and the logistics to the aim to favor a more efficient and less expensive modal division.
The ARTEMIS system will allow to weigh for a same transport goods the costs, the times and the environmental impact generated from each possible modal alternative allowing to choose the solution from time to time more interesting according to the type of goods and the requirements of the market.
The project has a duration of 24 months and a total value of beyond 2,3 million euros, of which 50% will be financed by the Marco Polo program.
The coordinator of the project is Nethun, society of the Harbour Authority of Venice, and the other partner is: IIC - Istituto Internazionale of the Communications, Ilog - Logistic Initiatives, Cercle pour the Optimodalité en Europe, Optisoft, Thetis, Harbour Autoritat de Tarragona, Teirlog Ingenieria, Gefco Espana, Consult Omega, Cadmo Conoscimiento.
