The German BLG Logistics Group expects to increase more than 70% this year, the bustling traffic of cars in its terminal at the port of Cuxhaven. Thanks to new agreements, including one for imports in Germany and Poland for Opel cars manufactured in the UK, the group predicts that in 2011 the BLG AutoTerminal Cuxhaven movimenterà 190,000 vehicles compared to 110,000 last year.
Traffic growth will be possible thanks to the investments of € 3.5 million implemented in the terminal that have led to, inter alia, the creation of a new ramp for rolling stock and the provision of new areas to 53,000 square meters. "With new investments and partnerships in place with the firm - said the vice president of BLG, Mandred Kuhr - it will be possible to reach an annual traffic of about 250,000 vehicles since 2012."
