Today, the Liguria Regional Council unanimously approved an agenda that involves the president of the junta Claudio Burlando to be active in the Ministry of Transport for the Italian Navigation Company (CIN), a company formed by shipowners Aponte, Grimaldi, and honored that Tirrenia absorb into liquidation last year ( of 19 May 2011), ensuring, for eight years under the Convention, the levels and occupational skills of home in Genoa.

The document points out that "the plan provides for the maintenance of CIN of current employment levels for only two years before the period of eight years under the Convention," which Tirrenia 'has gradually reduced its presence in Genoa and Liguria through the subsequent disposal of the Genoa-Palermo Genoa-Cagliari and that, therefore, "any reduction of staff now employed by Tirrenia, would be a further depletion of the economic fabric of Liguria."
