"We are very pleased - said the CEO of CAI, Victor Garcia - of our significant revenue growth and earnings this quarter generated by the continuous increase in container traffic this year.In July - said Garcia - Clarkson's Research has predicted that in 2011 the overall growth of container traffic will be approximately 9% and will be supported by moderate growth of 6% on major trade routes to Europe and the United States and a more robust growth in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. In recent months, this progression of container traffic has led to an increase in recourse to the use of equipment during the second quarter, we hired about 39,000 TEU of new containers in July and so far we have hired additional 13,000 TEUs. This quarter the rate of use of our equipment has remained at 98% and we expect that will continue to remain at a similar level for the remainder of the year. Furthermore, we believe that the utilization rate will continue to be high again next year because of the continued growth of trade and investment we've made over the past two years in equipment rentals for long-term.
