In the first half of 2011, the Greek Minoan Lines, a shipping company Grimaldi Group Naples owner, scored a net loss of 24.8 million euros on revenues of 79.3 million euros compared to a net loss of 21.8 million euros on revenues of 70.8 million euros in the first half of last year. The operating result (EBITDA) was negative for 11.9 million euros compared to a deficit of 11.3 million euros in the first six months of 2010.
In the first half of this year's fleet of Minoan Lines used on routes between Greece and Italy has transported 213,000 passengers (+5% on the first half of 2010), 50,000 private cars (+14%) and 46,000 freight units (+10% ). On domestic routes were transported 377,000 passengers Greek (+1%), 44,000 private cars (+5%) and 26,000 freight units (-13%).
