The Norwegian shipping group Odfjell has signed a letter of intent to acquire a minority stake in Noord Natie Terminals terminal operator companies (NNT), which operates a liquid bulk terminal in the port of Antwerp. The agreement provides that the proceeds from the entry into the company's new partner, implemented through a capital increase to be used to increase the capacity of the terminal Belgian further 112,000 cubic meters approximately from the current 265,000 cubic meters (in addition to other 32,800 cubic meters is under construction with completion expected by early next year).
The investment will be made by Odfjell Terminals (Europe), a joint venture between the group Odfjiell and private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg LLC. Odfjell said that the share in the NNT will be higher than 25% of the share capital. The Norwegian shipping group operates in the field of terminal through the Dutch subsidiary Odfjell Terminals BV.
