In the first half of the 2012 port of Rotterdam it has enlivened 222 million tons of goods (+3.2%)



In the first semester of this year the traffic of the goods enlivened from the port of Rotterdam has grown of 3.2% attesting itself to 222,0 million tons regarding 214,9 million tons in the first half of 2011. The traffic in import is increased of 1.3% the 115,5 million one to tons and that in export has recorded a progression of 7.8% to 66,3 million tons.

The containerized trade has been pairs to 63,0 million tons (+2.0%) with a handling of the containers pairs to 5.862.149 teu, with a decrease of 1.5% regarding 5.954.286 teu totaled in the first six months last year. The goods on rotabili is piled to 8,8 million tons (+0,5) and the other goods several to 3,1 million tons (- 24.9%).

The traffic of the bulk sand banks is diminished altogether of 8.7% coming down to 39,3 million tons. To the increase of 1.9% of the coal to 12,9 million tons they have made reply the decreases of the agricultural bulk traffics, dropped of 10.5% to 4,1 million tons, iron mineral and scrap, that it has been of 16,4 million tons (- 15.1%), and of other bulk sand banks, volume that has been pairs to 5,6 million tons (- 8.8%).

The liquid bulk is piled to a total of 107,5 million tons (+10.6%), of which 50,6 million tons of crude oil (+9.6%), 39,9 million tons of producing oil (+13.8%), 205 thousand tons of natural gas which liquified (+289.2%) and 16,8 million tons of other liquid bulk (+5.6%).

The bulk sand banks is diminished of 10.7% to 20,1 million tons, while the liquid bulk has grown of 12.3% to 52,7 million tons.
