Al via the study of feasibility of a new director of transport goods iron-river from Trieste to the Black Sea



Today to Trieste it has been carried out first of the three days of reunions for the start of the European project "Adriatic - Danube - Black Sea multimodal platform" (ADB Multiplatform) that it previews the study of feasibility of a new director of transport goods from Trieste to the Black Sea realized with the resource to the rail shipment and that fluvial one.

The project, that partner sees the Region Friuli Venice Julia which lead and is supported by communitarian resources for total 5,64 million euros, involves in total 43 institutions and organizations of the territory of 13 nations (besides Italy, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Rumania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Albania, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine) and, between these, also the Regions Venetian and Puglia, the Croatian County Primorje-Gorski Kotar, the Harbour Authorities of Trieste, Venice, Koper and Fiume, Alpe Adria Spa and the Italian ministry of Infrastructures and the Transports.

The project will focus on four "routes pilot" in order to create really a trasportistico Network of the more efficient and competitive Europe Center-South and in compliance with the standards of the European Union. The four large guiding ones characterized are developed from the North Adriatic towards the Countries inland (Austria, Slovakia, Serbia and Hungary); from the Black Sea towards Greece, Bulgaria and Rumania; along Pan-European Corridor VIII (from Bari to Vahrn); developing the Danube water way, from Slovakia to the Black Sea.
