Initiative to Bari for the sensitization of the harbour user towards a sustainable management of the refusals

Today the Harbour Authority of the East and Istituto Comprensivo "Grimaldi-Lombardic" of Bari has undersigned an understanding protocol that will allow to a group of students of the middle school, guided from their teacher, of being protagonists of an interesting initiative finalized to the production of an instrument of multimedia communication for the sensitization of the harbour user towards a sustainable management of the refusals and for the potenziamento of the differentiated collection.

The activities are included in the within of plan TEN ECOPORT, financed from the communitarian program South East Europe 2007-2013, to whose realization coming the Harbour Authority participates together to other partner from seven countries of the European Balkan area, with the coordination of the DICATECh of the Polytechnic of Bari.

The end product one, object of the protocol of understanding and realizing with the support of the P.M.Studios of Bari, will be a new episode, been set in the port of Bari, of the Ecowarriors video game, already used from the Region Apulia in order to raise awareness the thematic young people to the environmental ones. The boys will have the task to invent the character and the physicality of the personage "hero" whose objective is the fight against the ecomafie that they want to pollute the sea of their city, the weft of the game, the witnesses, the cognitive tests and the presentation of the video game, is in Italian who in English.

The video game, in 3D, will be made available inside appropriate multimedia totem poles, that they will be situated in the areas of pause of the passengers inside of the port, will be releasable from Internet free of charge and disclosed in all the Countries involved in the plan (Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Rumania, Bulgaria).

After the signature of the agreement one has held, near the Lombardic Auditorium of the School, the first operating encounter during which to the boys, besides to introduce the objectives of the initiative, they are illustrated, from the experts involved in the plan from the Harbour Authority, the techniques in order to pass from the designs and the comic strips to the three-dimensional digital animation.

The president of the Harbour Authority, Francesco Mariani, has defined "a experience beautifulst that of the collaboration of a truth like the port with a school because he allows to approach the boys to a truth, like that harbour one, little known and often considered stranger to the city atmosphere also constituting, instead, one of the productive truths more stimulating assets and of the territory. To use, then, the instrument of the video game, devised from the same boys, in order to raise awareness contemporary they of many nationalities, and consequently their parents, to a greater engagement towards the atmosphere is sure the better way in order to make to become these thematic relatives to all".
