The logistic group Helvetic Kuehne + Nagel has archived item the first trimester of this year with a profit of 150 million franchi clearly Swiss (123 million euros), in increase of Swiss +12% regarding 134 million franchi in the period January-March of 2013. The gross volume of transactions has recorded a contraction of the -1% attesting itself to 5,0 billion franchi Swiss and the turnover clearly is piled to beyond 4,1 billion franchi Swiss (- 2%). EBITDA and EBIT have been Swiss pairs respective to 235 million franchi (+7%) and 190 million franchi Swiss (+12%).

"In a situation of light recovery of the market - the managing director of Kuehne + Nagel International has commented, Detlef Trefzger - all our units of business have given good results and meanwhile they have strengthened our market position. In the light of all this we are satisfied of the results of the first trimester of 2014. The measures on the introduced costs a year ago and the active management of the economic margin have been effective. Our strategy - it has concluded Trefzger - remains unchanged: we will continue to focus itself on an increase of the profits".

In the first trimester of the 2014 single marine shipment division of the Swiss group container has enlivened cargo volumes pairs almost 900 thousand teu, with a progression of +6.9% on the correspondent period last year. Kuehne + Nagel has explained that the shipment volumes from Europe to the America North are increased considerable, while the activity with the Latin America has recorded an emphasized increase less. The division has closed the first three months of this year with a gross revenue of beyond 2,1 billion franchi Swiss (- 4% on the first trimester a 2013) and revenue 2,0 billion franchi clearly almost Swiss (- 4%). EBITDA and EBIT have been Swiss pairs respective to 98 million franchi (- 3%) and 92 million franchi Swiss (- 4%).

The air shipment division of the Helvetic company has archived item the first trimester of this year with volumes transported pairs to about 285 thousand tons (+1%), increase that is produced mainly in Europe and Nord America, while the volumes in Asia, Middle East and Africa have recorded a bending. The Swiss division has totaled a gross revenue of 1,0 billion franchi (- 1%), an EBITDA of 68 million franchi Swiss (+15%) and a EBIT of 62 million franchi Swiss (+17%).
