In the first quadrimestre of the 2014 port of Ravenna it has enlivened almost eight million tons of goods, with an increment of +11% regarding the correspondent period last year. It disembarks have been pairs to 6,8 million tons (+11.8%) and it embarks to it to 1,1 million tons (+6.6%).

The total increase of the traffic is determined by the increase of +12.5% of the volume of the goods sand banks (590 thousand tons in more) and of the prosecuzione of the fort increment (+106.1%) of the rotabili (287 thousand tons in more), while the liquid bulk quickly has a decrease of the -0,4% and the goods in container has turned out decreasing of -10%.

The Harbour Authority has announced that the increment in more obvious absolute value has been, as for the slid months, that recorded from the produced metalworkers who are gone up by 1,5 million almost 1,9 million tons (+21.1%); in fort increase also the agricultural produced ones passed from 450 thousand to 674 thousand tons (+50%) thanks to the import from Bulgaria, North America (Canada and the USA) and Ukraine. Positive the result for the raw materials for the ceramics, above all clay and feldspar, than with 170 thousand tons in more regarding the first four months of the 2013 have totaled an increment pairs to +21%. Between produced the liquid bulk an light decrease of oil (- 1.9%) and of chemicals the liquids (- 1.5% is found); in increase, instead, liquid alimentary commodities (+6.5%) graces in particular to alimentary oils and the fat people animals. Regarding the container, in the first quadrimestre of this year handling has been pairs to 63.671 teu (- 9.4%); in particular the decrease has been pairs to 3.474 teu for full containers (- 6.4%) and to 3.107 teu (- 19.3%) for those empty ones. Regarding the trailer, on the line of the Ravenna-Catania 14,166 are enlivened trailer against the 10,902 of the January-April period of 2013, while for the Ravenna-Brindisi line the recorded pieces have been 3,764 against the 2,086 last year; on the line of Grimaldi with Greece, inaugurated last January, in the first four months I have been counted 1,485 pieces da/per Igoumenitsa and 3,586 da/per Patrasso. In total from January to April 23,362 are enlivened trailer (+75.2%). Positive also the result of the traffic of new motors vehicle that, with 9.527 pieces disembarked in the first four months, has recorded a positive balance of 537 pieces (+6%).

In the single month of April 2014 the port has enlivened totally beyond two million tons of goods, with a progression of +2.7% on April 2013.

"The traffic in the port of Ravenna - the president of the Harbour Authority of Ravenna has commented, Galliano Di Marco - during the April month still increases and allows with the port to maintain an increase, regarding the first quadrimestre of 2013, to two figures. That does not alter the fact that it must, with "the feracious urgency of now", to go ahead and as soon as possible with the great project of deepening of the backdrops. Adequate backdrops and more efficient services - it has emphasized Of Marco - will allow with this port of call to develop to all those potentialities that the current data of traffic demonstrate it unquestionably have, even though with all today existing the infrastructural limits. With regard to this I wish to thank Region Emilia-Romagna, Health ministry - USMAF Bologna and Company ASL Romagna for efforts completed, that they have carried to the subscription of a collaboration agreement that gives the first next june, will afford to the port of Ravenna of being still more competitive thanks to new staff dedicated to the activities of sanitary control on the goods.
