In the first semester of this year the port of Genoa has enlivened 25,1 million tons of goods (+2.9%)



With a total of beyond 25,1 million tons enlivened in the first six months of this year the port of Genoa has recorded an increment of 2.9% of the traffic regarding the first half of a 2013 and advanced volume also to 24,3 million the tons enlivened in the period of apex of the economic and finalcial crises international, but still inferior to the volumes enlivened in the first semesters of the last years. This year, with a total of 1.060.148 teu, instead is established a new record in the field of the containers in terms of enlivened boxes from 20 ' in the first semester.

In the first six months of 2014 in the field of the goods several tons (+6.7% on the first half of 2013 are enlivened altogether 14,7 million), of which 10,6 million tons of containerized cargos (+7.9%) and 4,1 million conventional tons of goods (+3.7%). The Harbour Authority of the capital of Liguria has evidenced that in the segment of the container the port of Genoa confirmation first Italian port for traffic containers for final destination. Moreover the agency has emphasized that the data of traffic of the first semester promise, if confirmed the tendency, to reach to end the 2014 record absolute anniversary of containers with beyond 2,1 million teu, "this - it has found the authority - to confirmation of the strategicità of the investments completed in these years is on the infrastructural plan that on that technological one, I yield of a choral effort of the same harbour community that it has known to guarantee all structures and the professionalities necessary to receive Costa Concordia".

In the section of the bulk, the mineral oils are diminished of 1.9% coming down to the 7,7 million one tons respect to beyond 7,8 million in the first semester of 2013, while the other liquid bulk has totally grown of +18.1% to 436 thousand tons, of which 267 thousand tons of chemicals (to +3.5%) and 169 thousand tons of oils vegetables and wine (+51.7%). The bulk sand banks is dropped of the -15,3% to 330 thousand tons, to which other 1,5 million tons (- 2.4%) of which 93 thousand tons of solid bulk (+177.7%) and 1,4 million tons of iron worker (- 6.4% join in the industrial branch).

In the field of the bunkeraggio and the supplies of edge the enlivened cargos have been pairs to 462 thousand tons (- 9.9%).

In the first semester of the 2014 traffic of the passengers it is diminished of the -7,7% to 900 thousand people, of which 540 thousand of fleeting crocieristi ferries (+3.6%) and 360 thousand (- 20.6%).

In the single month of june of the 2014 genoese port it has enlivened 4,2 million tons of goods, with a progression of +7.7% regarding 3,9 million tons in June 2013. Particularly consisting (+18.3%) the increase of the containerized trade that is piled almost two million tons. In bending, instead, passengers (- 5.5%) because of the reduction of 30.5% of the number of the crocieristi, while the ferries have recorded a +8.3%.
