Alliance between the groups Grimaldi and Fremura with the objective to invest in the port of Livorno



The groups Grimaldi and Fremura have announced an alliance with the objective to invest in the port of Livorno. Atlantic Spa di Navigazione, society of the Neapolitan shipowning group Grimaldi, in fact has entered in the share capital of the CO.I.FI. Srl, holding financial institution of the livornese group Fremura that work in the marine and logistic field through the historical marine agency the international shipment Cesare Fremura, house SSI Srl and the society of intermodal transports ITS Srl. The operation is carried out through an increase of capital of the holding company undersigned from the Atlantic Spa di Navigazione.

CO.I.FI is present in the harbour field through its participation as associate to 33%, to the pairs of the groups Of Alesio and Neri, in the Sintermar Spa, the terminalistica society active in the port of Livorno and which placed on the industrial channel.

The Grimaldi group is present in the port of Livorno from 1968 and is represented by marine agency L.V. Srl Acorn of which he is majority associate. Currently the Neapolitan group serves the Leighorn port with traditional ships ro-ro and ferries connecting it directly or indirectly to beyond 120 ports of call served from Grimaldi world-wise. In the 2013 group it has enlivened in the port of Livorno 238,000 units between automobiles, van, truck and towings, an increase of 6% regarding the year precedence. In the year in course, the number of ports of call previewed from the Grimaldi ships will be of about 770 while the 34,000 turns would have to be reached/man. For what it regards the enlivened cargo the esteem are to reach the 300,000 units (between car, van, truck and towings), an increase pairs to 27% regarding 2013.
