Last year the traffic of the goods enlivened from the port of Ancona has recorded a rise of +22.9%



In the 2014 traffic of the goods enlivened from the port of Ancona it has recorded a decided rise of +22.9% having been itself attested almost 8,6 million tons regarding 7,0 million tons in 2013. The goods in export is piled to 3,0 million tons (+27.3%) and those in import to beyond 5,5 million tons (+20.6%).

The remarkable total increment of the traffic is determined mainly by the increase of +45.6% of the oil and producing oil enlivened with the refinery BEES of Falconara that have been pairs to 4,8 million tons.

In sensitive increase also the traffic of the other cargo types, that it is gone up of +2.6% to 3,8 million tons, of which beyond 1,1 million tons of goods in container (+7.4%) pairs to 164.882 teu (+8.2% totaled with a handling of containers), 2,0 million tons of goods on rotabili (- 1.6%) and 637 thousand tons of solid bulk (+8.8%). The increase of the solid bulk volume is produced by the increase of food and cerealicoli (280 thousand tons, + 37.1%) and of the produced metalworkers, not ferrous minerals of iron and minerals and metals (65 thousand tons, +12.0%; decreasing, instead, coal handling (156 thousand tons, -26,6%).

"The traffic of container in the port of Ancona - it has emphasized the president of the Harbour Authority, Rodolfo Giampieri - practically is quadruplicated by 1995 today to demonstration of the fundamental importance of the port of call which door of access of the productive districts of the region".

The Harbour Authority of Ancona has moreover evidenced that the value in euro of the enlivened traffic in import and export in 2014 from the port of call has marked an optimal result with beyond 5,2 billion euros, figure that represents the best one turned out of last the six years and in particular of the higher value of the exports (1,95 billion euros) never reached.

"The results of traffic of the year as soon as passed - it has continued Giampieri - they are a lot encouraging, considered the delicate economic situation to general level. There are important signs of radical change of direction that carry to us to look to the future with reasoned optimism. The Harbour Authority will continue to make its part in order to accelerate the times of realization of the infrastructural works and in order to improve the standards of the harbour services, working with decision for the simplification of the procedures. Our objective is to facilitate the competitiveness of the enterprises and to strengthen the occupation".

Last year the traffic of the passengers enlivened from the port of Ancona, that people have been pairs almost 1,1 million, has recorded instead a bending of the -8,0% regarding 2013. In light decrease (- 2.0%) the total of the passengers of the ferries that has been pairs to a million unit, while the fleeting crocieristi are diminished of the -66,0% coming down to 37 thousand.
