It consecutively continues from seven months the increase of transported cargos of goods from the ships that cross the Suez Canal, increase that in last the three months has been to two figures and is determined mainly by the increment of the boarded cargo volumes on the ships journeyed from north to south.

Last month in the channel Egyptian they are journeyed altogether 1,484 ships, with a progression of +5.7% regarding May 2016. The journeyed oil tankers have been 346 (- 1.1%) and the ships of other type 1,138 (+8.0%). The ships that in May of the 2017 have crossed the channel altogether transported 76,2 million tons of goods (+11.5%), of which 40,1 million tons of boarded cargos on the ships journeyed from north to south (+19.3%) and 36,1 million tons of boarded cargos on the ships journeyed in opposite direction (+4.0%). Totally the boarded oil cargo volumes of oil and producing on the ships journeyed in both the directions have turned out pairs to 17,0 million tons (+19.6%) and cargos of other type to 59,2 million tons (+9.4%) of which 40,2 million tons of containerized cargos (+2.1%).

In the first five months of the 2017 in the water way Egyptian they are journeyed altogether 7,112 ships, with an increase of +2.0% on the period January-May last year. The oil tankers have been 1,839 (+1.0%) and the ships of other type 5,273 (+2.3%). The ships that have crossed the channel transported a total of 367,3 million tons of goods (+10.6%), of which 194,1 million tons of boarded cargos on the units journeyed towards south (+19.7%) and 173,2 million tons on the ships journeyed towards north (+1.9%). Altogether the oil cargos of oil and producing journeyed in both the directions are piled to 88,4 million tons (+18.9%) and cargos of other type to 278,9 million tons (+8.2%) of which 191,3 million tons of goods in container (+6.2%). In the single direction north-south they are journeyed 44,2 million tons of oil cargos (+40.0%) and 149,9 million tons of cargos of other type (+14.8%) of which 95,8 million tons of containerized cargos (+19.7%), while in the single direction south-north the oil cargos have attested to 44,2 million tons (+3.4%) and cargos of other type 129,0 million to tons (+1.4%) of which 95,5 million tons of cargos in container (- 0.3%).
