Elected the new Shipping council of the Italian Confederation for three years 2017-2019



Today the assembly of the Italian Confederation Shipping (Confitarma) has approved of the budget and the relative relation anniversary to 2016 and has proceeded to the election of the members of the new confederal council for the three years 2017-2019 that turns out composed by Mariella Amoretti, Claudio Baccichetti, Riccardo Baratozzi, Federica Barbaro, Luca Bertani, Raffaele Brullo, Paolo Cagnoni, Carlo Cameli, Matteo Catani, Andrea Clavarino, Francesco D' Alesio, Angel D'Amato, Giovanni Dellepiane, Alessandra Grimaldi, Guido Grimaldi, Domenico Ievoli, Manfredi Lefebvre d' Ovid, Beniamino Maltese, Lorenzo Matacena, Mario Mattioli, Stefano Messina, Vittorio Morace, Franco Napp, Corrado Neri, Valeria Novella, Giuseppe Mauro Rizzo, Alcide Ezio Rosina, Fabrizio Vettosi, Barbara Visentini and Luca Vitiello.

This afternoon the designation commission will conclude the consultations of the associates in order to collect the candidacies to the presidency of the Confederation. Confitarma has remembered that the new council, constituted by Emanuele Grimaldi, current president of Confitarma, from past president Aldo Grimaldi, Paolo Clerici, Nicola Coccia and Paolo d' Amico, by Andrea Garolla, Shipping Young president of the Group, and from the new members named today from the assembly, will meet in the next weeks in order to vote to secret scrutiny the nominative case of the president to propose the assembly. Successively the other social organs of the Confederation will be named all.

In the course of the assembly president Grimaldi has illustrated the activity carried out from Confitarma in relation to the problematic ones of the field having emphasized that, although dragging on of the effects of the serious economic and finalcial crises begun in 2007, at the end of 2016 and also in June 2017, the Italian mercantile fleet, with beyond 16,5 million tons, remains in the first positions: third between the fleets of the greater Countries reunited in the G20, second in the European Union and fourth to the world between those in which there is correspondence between flag of the ship and nationality of the shipowner, correspondence - it has evidenced - than effectively feeds the marine cluster of the Country.

Successively the presidents of Commission and the president of the Shipping Young people have illustrated main the thematic ones faced in the course of the mandate.

In occasion of the assembly president Grimaldi has informed that all the deep ones collected from Confitarma for the populations hit from the earthquake of Central Italy are devolven to the Civil Protection, to the Italian Red Cross, the Italian Caritas, the Association "Friendly of Room" - Common of Amatrice - for the realization of a social area, and to the Association "Earth of Amatrice Ngo". This last one, with the contribution of Confitarma has acquired nine inhabited modules in order to accommodate as many families.
