Fincantieri will construct a cruise ship of 113.000 tons of tonnage for Cunard



The crocieristico group American Carnival Corporation has signed with the navalmeccanica company Italian Fincantieri a memorandum of agreement for the fleeting construction of a ship of next destined generation to the brand of Cunard luxury of the group American. The contract will be operating when all the conditions technical-financial institutions will be satisfied.

Fincantieri has announced that the ship will be constructed in the ship yard of Monfalcone and will enter to take part of the fleet of the shipowner in 2022. The unit will have tonnage of about 113.000 tons and will be able to accommodate 3,000 passengers. The new ship will be the 249th one to fly the flag of Cunard and the first from 2010 when Fincantieri delivered to the crocieristica company Queen Elizabeth, three years after Queen Victoria in 2007, carrying to four the units of the brand at the same time in service for the first time from 1998.
