In the third trimester of this year the Finnish group Wärtsilä Corporation, that it develops and it produces systems for the generation of energy for marine and terrestrial the field, has recorded an sensitive increment of new the orders that are piled to 1,35 billion euros, with a rise of +19% regarding 1,14 billion euros in the third trimester of 2016.

In the quarter July-september of the 2017 turnover clearly of the group has been of 1,18 billion euros (+9%), the operating profit of 130 million euros (+7%) and the profit clearly of 85 million euros (+1%). In the single naval field the turnover clearly has been attested to 328 million euros, with a decrease of the -16% on the third trimester last year, while the new orders have marked an emphasized increase of +35% having gone up to 387 million euros. The new orders in the naval branch include a contract for the supply of the main engines and scrubber for four cruise ships that the Fincantieri group is constructing on behalf of Norwegian Cruise Line. Altogether the segment of the cruise ships and the ferries has represented 36% of the value total of the new orders in the naval field, while the segment of the ships liquefied gas tankers has represented 21%, that of the conventional mercantile ships 17%, the segment of the specialistic ships 12%, the segment of the military ships 6% and the offshore segment 2%.

The value of the orderbook of the group on 30 September was pairs to 5,07 billion euros, in increase of +1% on on September 30, 2016, of which 2,04 billion euros in single naval section (- 12%).

In the first nine months of this year the turnover clearly of the group is gone up of +7% to 3,48 billion euros regarding 3,24 billion euros in the period January-september of 2016. Operating and useful profit clearly has shown respective progressions of +9% and +18% attesting to 327 million and 218 million euros. In the single naval section the turnover clearly has turned out pairs to 941 million euros (- 19%).

In the first nine months of the 2017 group it has confiscated new orders for 4,13 million euros (+15%), of which 1,11 million euros in naval field (+8%).

Al 30 last June the Finnish group had altogether 17,859 dependent, regarding 18.337 on September 30, 2016, of which 10,528 in the division Services (10,648 on September 30, 2016), 1,017 in the division Energy Solutions (920) and 5,774 in the division Marine Solutions (6,305).
