Started a project in order to in the Adriatic improve the intermodal services on the operating marine connections



Today to Venice, in the center of the Authority of Harbour System of the Sea Adriatic Northern, the meeting of project CHARGE (Capitalization and Harmonization of the Adriatic Region Gate of Europe has held kick-off) that it has the objective to improve the intermodal services on the existing marine connections between the two sides of Mare Adriatico in order to optimize the efficiency of the flows of traffic and the environmental sustainability and to relatively resolve the criticalities to the existing necks of bottle in the context of the Macroregion Adriatic-Ionic.

In particular, the project previews shared actions times to the elimination or reduction of the necks of bottle of the intermodal transport - main objective of CHARGE - through actions times to the identification of the limits physicists and physicists in the adriatic area and joint actions in order not to upgrade the traffic flows goods and the connections between the adriatic ports: conducts will come analysis of the potential flows of market by every port involved beyond to set in action-pilot times to update the existing systems of the harbour communities of the involved ports in order to reduce times and costs for the implementation of the formalities of reporting and for the controls.

Moreover the preparation of a normative picture for the sustainability of the transport is previewed goods in the Adriatic: a combined analysis on transboundary politics of sustainability of the adriatic transport will be carried out goods, supplying a synthesis of the current situation and the favorable future developments of the policies on the incentives for the intermodal transport in the basin of Mare Adriatico.

With the today's encounter project CHARGE, that it is financed in the within of Maritime the 4 Priority "Transport" of the program of European territorial cooperation Italy-Croatia, enters in its operating phase and will see the grip collaboration, for next the 18 months, of all the involved subjects and the stakeholders.

The project, whose total budget piles to about 965 thousand euros, sees RAM Logistica Infrastrutture and Trasporti Spa in quality of front man, with the participation of the ports of Venice, Ancona, Bari, Ploce and Split, besides KIP (Cluster of the Intermodal Transport) and to the Ministry of the sea, the transports and infrastructures of Croatia.

In the course of the meeting today, after the introductory salutes of the president of the Authority of Harbour System of the Sea Adriatic Northern, Pino Musolino, and about the secretariat of the Italy-Croatia Program, they are discussed and plan the activities technical of the project and set up the phases of management administrative-financial institution and communication.
