It has emphasized today the president of the Confitarma, Mario Mattioli, in its speech to the assembly of the Italian shipowning confederation that has held to Rome, evidencing the contribution of the field of the marine cluster to the national economy, field that - it has remembered - "represents beyond 2% of the GDP national total and 3.5% of the not state member, appointing to a job almost 500 thousand people".

Emphasizing as the crucial role of the marine economy is recognized also in within EU, acknowledgment as a result of which - Mattioli has explained - "from the end of years ‘80, in performance of the communitarian guidelines in matter of aids of State to the marine transports, the States of the European Union offer to own fleets facilities of operating, contributive and fiscal nature" and "this to the aim to return them regarding those of the Countries to lowland or zero fiscality competitive", the president of the Confitarma has remembered "in Italy this strategy is put into effect with the International Registry, than this year it completes twenty years giveits institution happened with the law n. 30 of 1998. In twenty years - Mattioli has rimarcato - our fleet has renewed itself qualitatively and is in fact doubled: they give about 8,5 million tons of tonnage we are passed to end 2017 16,3 million to tons, although the lived difficult period in the past decade". An importance, that covered from the International Registry twenty years ago as today, that it is confirmed in its participation also from the minister of Infrastructures and the Transports: draft - Danilo Toninelli has said - of ""a still young" measure, than to the age of its introduction has pepped up the fleet of Italian flag, avoiding the escape towards other flags that guaranteed put up fiscal benefits. A package of measures that, with to another important fiscal instrument which that of the Tonnage Tax, has given overhong to the Italian armament, allowing it to reach the first places between the world-wide fleets, and that - has specified the minister - must continue to produce effects also for the future one because our shipowners can continue to invest in young fleets, technologically advances, sure and "cleaned"".

With regard to the environmental sustainability of marine transport, Toninelli, referring to the obligation of reduction of the sulfur tenor in the marine fuel that will release from on January 1°, 2020, it has returned note the intention "to lead an update in collaborative optical, with the aid of various trade associations it is of the shipowners that of the producers and with the involvement of the Ministry of the Atmosphere, for being able to have - the minister has explained - the exact cognition of dynamics, at least with regard to the shipping and to the national ports, in order to comprise the abilities to our productive and distributive system, the times of supplying againstthe increased question of these fuels, eventual the ulterior criticalities and the practicable solutions".

In order to value the marine economy, Mattioli has asked the minister to give again also to the marine section "a governance dedicated in order to emphasize of the role of flies of development for our Country. It is a choice - it has added - that cannot be more sent back".

At last, addressing to the president of Confindustria, Vincenzo Boccia, that it is taken part to the today's assembly, Mattioli it has announced the project start in order to create a "Confindustria Sea" with which one agrees to give a unitary voice to the industrial members of the sea. "Confitarma with Assiterminal, Assologistica, Assonave, Federpesca and Ucina - it has specified - is ready to constitute the first industrial nucleus of the "blue economy" of Confindustria, than it is candidated beginning right now to being the point of reference for the future marine and logistic strategy to the service of the Country".
