Livorno the manifestation Open Port has reached the twelfth edition



The Authority of Harbour System of the Tyrrhenian Sea Northern has introduced the twelfth edition of Opened Port, the manifestation with which the port of Livorno it opens itself to the city that is organized from the harbour agency in collaboration with the Tuscany Region and other institutions and associations and that it is the vehicle through which thousands of students and citizens have been able to know intimately the Leighorn marine port of call.

The programming in the first place previews preliminary visits to the multimedia laboratory of the Port Center and to the Warehouse of the historical boats that, beginning from the tenth edition of the project, are proposed as propedeutico passage to the discovery of the port in its entirety. Also for this edition schools and citizenship are planned until on 15 May visits to the port of Livorno subdivided in two distances differentiated between. Regarding the ports of Piombino and the ports of the Island of Elba, than the reform of the legislation in harbour matter it has included in the jurisdiction of the AdSP of the Tyrrhenian Sea Northern, is under consideration a project of implementation of the ports of call inside of the Port Center and an extension of the guided tours to these ports.

Moreover in the period comprised between January and june 2019, taking cue from analogous initiatives put into effect by the Port Center of the Havre, in a perspective of sharing of the experiences between the structures affiliated to the Network, the Port Center of Livorno will realize a series of appointments for a thursday to the month, in time afternoon, dedicated to the deepening of thematic current relative to the harbour world in its various dimensions. Seminaries to free and free access will be conferences/, in the limit of the places available.

Between the other initiatives of the project, the prize "Tells your port", classified to the schools that will participate to the guided tours in port, that it previews the production of elaborated that they will be estimated by an appropriate commission and that they will be introduced in occasion of the previewed manifestations in order to celebrate the European Day of the Sea, day - on May 20, 2019 - in which the final event of the project will be carried out Open Port and that, as for the precedence editions, it will see involved the students of the city schools and regional in an articulate initiative that will have the scope to evidence how much the port and the sea is places that they want to open itself to the citizenship and the young people.
