Fincantieri celebrates the new historical quarterly record of new orders in the segment of the cruise ships



In the first trimester of this year the revenues of the navalmeccanico group Italian Fincantieri are piled to 1,38 billion euros, with an increase of +13.0% on the correspondent period of 2018, of which 1,11 billion (+21.5%) in the Shipbuilding field enclosed revenues for 821 million (+32.6%) in the segment of the cruise ships and for 291 million (- 0.3%) in that of the military ships, 224 million (- 8.6%) in the Offshore field and special ships and 170 million (+1.8%) in the field Systems, members and services. The group EBITDA has been pairs to 90 million euros regarding 89 million in the first trimester of 2018, with a positive contribution of 83 million from the Shipbuilding field (65 million in the first trimester 2018, value rectified as a result of a redefinition of the operating fields), a contribution negative pairs to -2 million from the Offshore field and special ships (positive for 18 million in first trimester 2018, rectified) and a positive contribution for 18 million from the field Systems, members and services (15 million).

In the first three months of the 2019 Italian group it has obtained new orders for a total pairs to 6,45 billion euros, with an increment of +499.9% regarding 1,07 billion in the same period last year. The emphasized rise is generated by the consisting increase of the store clerks in the Shipbuilding field that has totaled 6,31 billion euros, figure that constitutes the new historical quarterly record for the company and an increment of +580.9% on the rectified value of first trimester 2018, thanks to the contract signature for the construction of 11 cruise ships for the companies Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Viking Cruises, MSC Cruises and Princess Cruises and to an order for an ulterior unit for US Navy in the within of the program Littoral Combat Ship. The values of the orders in the special fields Offshore and ships and Systems, members and services have turned out instead almost unchanged being itself attested respective to 39 million and 168 million euros.

In the first trimester of this Fincantieri year it has delivered eight ships, between which the two cruise ships Viking Jupiter and Costa Venezia, a military ship for US Navy and five unit in the Offshore field and special ships.
