Zaccheo (ENAC): the aerial cargo must become a strategic asset for Italy



The field of the aerial transport of the goods must become a strategic asset for Italy. It has supported today the president of the National Agency for Civil aviation (ENAC), Nicola Zaccheo, taking part to Greenbone 2019, the assembly anniversary of the General Confederation Italiana of the Transports and the Logistics (Confetra) centralized on the topic "the logistics, material constitution of the new world. Italy in the maps of the future". Zaccheo has evidenced that in Italy "during the last few years the segment air cargo is substantially firm: the traffic goods - it has explained - in 2018 represents alone 6.0% of the European traffic. "We assist - it has observed Zaccheo - to geopolitical changes that are involving the displacement from the west towards east of the commercial flows world-wise, investing totally the Italian area. It is necessary, therefore, to not only intercept the important opportunity that our geographic position offers, barycentric regarding the West and to the east, but also and above all regarding Africa, a market in strong expansion in the near future. In order to make this it must take part on more foreheads, not only in terms of planning and of normative simplification, but also of services to offer to all the row of the involved actors, from the enterprises to the couriers and the shippers. The ENAC and the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports - Zaccheo has remembered - are working to the definition of a airport net of the aerial cargo, obviously intermodal and integrated with the world-wide net. Our engagement is that to accelerate this process that will culminate, in the short possible time, in a National Plan of the Aerial Cargo".

In its relation the president of Confetra, Guido Nicolinim, has agreed that "Italy must find own place in the world, to focus own total perspective, to construct according to it own logistic positioning, geoeconomica, productive". Nicolini has rimarcato the necessity to take note of the centrality of the logistics for the development of the Country, field - it has found - that is pulling ahead of the new total orders and - has specified - "counter-check is some that all the main digital and technological experimentations are being concentrated on our field: blockchain, 5G, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, increased truth".
