In the third trimester the traffic of the container to Naples is increased of +12.5% and to Salerno it is dropped of -8,3%



In the third trimester of this year the port of Naples has enlivened a traffic of the container pairs to 169 thousand teu, with a progression of +12.5% on the period July-september of 2018, while the other main of Campania harbour port of call of Salerno has enlivened 101 thousand teu, with a decrease of -8,3%. In the segment of the cruises, the traffic in the port of Naples has been of 589 thousand fleeting, in increase of +37.4%, while in the port of Salerno the increment has been of +30.8% being recorded a traffic of 44 thousand crocieristi.

In the first nine months of the 2019 traffic of the container in the port of Naples it has been pairs to 508 thousand teu, with a rise of +21.6% on the correspondent period last year, for a total of 5,0 million tons of containerized cargos enlivened (+17.4%). To Salerno the total has been of 309 thousand teu (- 10.0%) for 3,8 million enlivened tons (- 10.0%).

In the field of the cruises the first nine months of this year have been archived item from the port of Naples with almost 1,1 million passengers (+30.1%) and from the fleeting port of Salerno with 76 thousand (+14.7%). As for the traffic of the passengers of local the marine services and the ferries, the total to Naples has been of 5,7 million passengers (+1.3%), of which 695 thousand of ferries (- 5.2%), and to fleeting Salerno of 825 thousand (+18.4%), of which 194 thousand of ferries (+28.6%).

Relatively to the traffic of the other goods, in the period January-september of the 2019 port of Naples has enlivened moreover almost 4,1 million tons of liquid bulk (+2.9%), of which 3,0 million producing tons of oil refined (+4.3%), 834 thousand oil tons of producing gaseous, which liquified or compressed and natural gas (+6.1%) and 59 thousand tons of other cargos liquids (- 17.4%), and 790 thousand tons of bulk sand banks (- 0.7%), of which 301 thousand tons of cereals (+14.5%), 154 thousand tons of producing to metalworkers (- 29.3%) and 334 thousand tons of other solid bulk (+9.0%). In the field of the rotabili to Naples the traffic has been almost 4,1 million tons (- 1.9%).

Moreover in the first nine months of this year the port of Salerno has enlivened 132 thousand tons of solid bulk (+26.1%) and 6,2 million tons of rotabili (+5.1%).

Altogether in the period January-september of the 2019 three ports administered from the Authority of Harbour System of the Tyrrhenian Sea Central (Naples, Salerno and Castellammare di Stabia) they have enlivened 25,2 million tons of goods (+3.7%), included 752 thousand conventional tons of goods (- 11.5%).
