Elba, the
ship Elbblue was refueled with gas
natural synthetic (SNG). This is the first refuelling to a
carriers of this fuel with zero CO2 emissions
obtained from renewable energies. The
Elbblue of the German
Elbdeich Reederei (United Shipping Companies Group - USC), which is
operated by Unifeeder, has a capacity of 1.036 teu and is
direct to the port of St. Petersburg. The 20 tons of SNG on board
of the ship - announced the German MAN Energy Solutions - is
expected will be enough for 20 hours of navigation. During the
return trip direct to Rotterdam the ship will do
re-supply of synthetic natural gas in Brunsbüttel.
