The Port System Authority of the Adriatic Sea Centrale has published a notice for the selection of proposals from concessionaires and terminal operators operating in the areas for the purchase of service vehicles powered by electricity or hydrogen or for the electrification of vehicles Existing. The procedure involves the selection of proposals and the subsequent financing of those deemed suitable for the concession of the concessions which amount to a total of 3.73 million euros and are funded by the Ministry's Green Ports project Environment and Energy Security for Sustainability environmental protection of ports, supported by the European Union–Next Generation EU as part of the National Recovery Plan and Resilience.

The initiative aims to improve efficiency reduce emissions in ports, promote the environmental sustainability of port activities also for the benefit of neighboring urban areas. Recipients of the notice It is the holders of port concessions and terminal operators who can purchase new vehicles powered by electricity and hydrogen or transforming existing fossil fuel vehicles with electric or hydrogen power supply. The notice concerns the purchase o the replacement of mobile cranes, bridge cranes, hoppers and other vehicles for the handling of goods, of mobile machines for the handling of full and empty containers and locomotives and locomotives powered by electricity or hydrogen for the movement of railway wagons within the port area. It is the purchase of electricity-powered vehicles is also planned and hydrogen for waste collection or for shuttles used for the collective transport of people within the area harbour.

Applications from interested parties must be sent to the Port Authority by 1 p.m. on 24 March. The interventions, once financed, must be completed by on March 31, 2026.
