The members of Interporto Toscano Amerigo Vespucci - Region
Tuscany, Port System Authority of the Tyrrhenian Sea
Municipalities of Collesalvetti and Livorno, Province of
Livorno and the Chamber of Commerce of the Maremma and the Tyrrhenian Sea - have
decided to inject ten million euros into the company
interport to allow it to consolidate its position
and implement the industrial plan for the development up to
2029. The agreement, which is currently being finalised, is based on the
on the restructuring plan that the Board of Directors
the administration of the Interporto has prepared last 12
November.
"The agreement - explained Luciano Guerrieri, president
of the Port Authority, an entity that holds about 30% of the capital
of the Interport - favours the definitive industrial revival of
an infrastructure whose strategic qualification is
connected to the development of some fundamental works such as the Darsena
Europe and the Connection project, and the forthcoming establishment of the
Simplified logistics zone".
