In the past few hours, the transit in the canal of Suez by the tanker Suezmax Sounion of the Greek company Delta Tankers who last summer had suffered an attack by the Yemeni Houthi rebels while sailing in the Red Sea that had caused serious damage to the ship ( of 22 and 26 August 2024). For the safe crossing of the canal, the Sounion, which is 274 meters long, 50 meters wide and during transit had a draft of 9.4 meters, it was assisted by four tugboats.
