
After the -4.9% drop recorded in January, last month the
decline in cargo traffic in the port of Singapore
46.2 million tonnes of
loads, with a decrease of -7.5% on February 2024. With the exception of
non-oil bulk cargo which, at 2.5 million tonnes,
recorded a growth of +16.7%, there was a decrease in
other types of goods. In the container sector, the total is
27.4 million tonnes (-3.6%), a volume that was
made with a container handling equal to
3,316,580 TEUs (+4.6%). Conventional goods amounted to
over 2.2 million tonnes (-12.0%) and oil bulk at
14.0 million tons (-16.5%).
