    Le chantier naval de Hambourg Blohm & Voss construira deux navires à passagers pour compte de Royal Olympic Cruise Lines Inc. (Grèce). La livraison des navires est prévue pour le printemps 2000 et 2001. La commande comprend également l'option pour la construction d'un troisième sistership. Les navires équipés de huit ponts auront une longueur de 593 pieds, une largeur de 84 pieds et un tonnage de 25.000 t.b. Le navire peut accueillir 800 passagers. Grâce à la forme spéciale de leur coque, ces unités auront une vitesse de service remarquable de 27 noeuds. Ils sont donc parmi les navires de croisière les plus rapides au monde. La construction du premier navire débutera ce mois. Royal Olympic dispose actuellement d'une flotte de six navires, qui sont surtout alignés dans la région de la Méditerranée en été. Pendant les mois d'hiver en Europe, les navires se déplacent vers l'Amérique centrale et latine. Une impression d'artiste des nouveaux navires.
