    A l'issue d'un référendum, les ouvriers portuaires ont approuvé la nouvelle CCT du secteur portuaire belge avec 75% des voix. Le projet de texte est né d'une négociation avec les employeurs à la mi-avril. La CCT porte sur 1999 et 2000 et sera automatiquement prolongée jusqu'au 30 avril 2001 si un nouvel accord n'intervient pas avant cette date. Des CCT locales devront en outre être négociées au niveau des divers ports.
