  • Duisbourg: P&O Ports s'implante à Rheinhausen
    Le groupe P&O Ports, via sa division ports et logistique vient de lever l'option qu'il détenait depuis 1998 sur le site de Hafen Rheinhausen à Duisbourg et partant, va y implanter un centre logistique moderne, projet connu sous le nom de "Logport". Cette implantation se fait dans le cadre d'une joint venture entre la ville de Duisbourg, l'autorité portuaire et le gouvernement de NordRhein Westfalen. Toutefois, P&O aura une participation majoritaire. Rappelons qu'il s'agit d'un site complété d'une darse qui donne sur le Rhin et qui desservait une ancienne usine sidérurgique. L'initiative de P&O Ports s'inscrit donc dans la foulée de celle développée par ECT, qui vient de concrétiser son propre projet de terminal à Duisbourg, mais sur un site que nous aurions tendance à considérer comme moins stratégique sur le plan local.
  • ABX répond aux déclarations du président de Mory
    Sous le titre de "La confusion règne dans les partenariats TEAM" nous consacrions samedi dernier un article à la dissension entre la SNCB et Mory Team concernant l'adhésion à TEAM. Nous avions exclusivement donné la parole à Alain Bréau de Mory Team et président en fonction du steering committee de TEAM, pour la seule raison que monsieur Dermaux, le CEO de ABX, n'était pas disponible et l'administrateur délégué de la SNCB, Etienne Schouppe, n'avait rien de nouveau à ajouter. Hier nous avons reçu un communiqué officiel de ABX avec comme titre "Rectificatif". Nous le reproduisons dans son intégralité.
  • ABP accuse une chute du bénéfice
    Associated British Ports (ABP), le plus grand manutentionnaire britannique, a annoncé que son bénéfice avant impôts du premier semestre a reculé de 4,3 mio. de GBP par rapport à la même période de l'an dernier. Suite à la hausse des charges financières, conséquence d'une acquisition, de l'achat de parts et d'un recul du bénéfice des ventes de biens immobiliers, le bénéfice n'a atteint que 52,7 mio. de GBP. Le nouveau responsable Bo Lerenius reste cependant optimiste pour l'avenir et prévoit des résultats satisfaisants pour cette année.
  • Les ports maritimes aspirent à un forum de concertation au niveau fédéral
    "Je crains qu'il y ait un malentendu. D'une manière ou d'une autre, le gouvernement flamand craint une atteinte à ses compétences en cas de création d'une commission portuaire. Ce n'est nullement le cas, car les problèmes qui seront traités dans cette plate-forme de concertation concerneront uniquement des affaires relatives aux compétences fédérales", déclare l'administrateur délégué de la Communauté portuaire d'Anvers, Robert Restiau.
