The refit of the 1966-built ship is the first part of a two-ship deal signed between P&O Cruises and A&P Southampton. A second ship, the Arcadia, is due to arrive at the yard on January 5. Victoria has been in A&P Southampton's King George V dry dock since November 19 and the refit work carried out since then has involved a variety of shiprepair work. Other scheduled maintenance projects included repainting the ship's funnel in red to carry the famous Union Castle logo for her millennium charter.
