    Le Havre prépare activement son projet d'expansion "Port 2.000", qui consiste à réaliser un nouvel avant-port sur l'estuaire de la Seine, qui abritera une nouvelle génération de terminaux à containers avec des quais en eau profonde. La première phase porte sur un quai de 1.050 m, qui sera prolongé de 350 m par la suite. Qui exploitera ce premier terminal? Il serait difficile d'avancer un nom pour l'instant étant donné qu'un appel d'offres devra être lancé par la direction du port dans le courant de l'année prochaine. Néanmoins, des récentes déclarations faites par le directeur du PA du Havre A. Graillot à la presse étrangère, il ressort que la nouvelle perspective poserait certains problèmes de dimension sur le plan local.
  • Première escale d'ESAL à Ostende
    L'"Atlantic Crusader" de l'armement britannique ESAL (European South-Atlantic Line) sera chargé au quai Cockerill dans l'avant-port d'Ostende à partir d'aujourd'hui. Le navire prendra 1.500 tonnes de farine de froment à son bord. Cette cargaison sera acheminée par barges à partir d'Anvers et est destinée au port de Punta Arenas, à la pointe sud du Chili. L'expéditeur est la firme United Belgium Mills. Ahlers Bridge prendra le volet expédition à son compte. OCHS (Ostend Cargo Handling Services), une société-soeur d'ESAL au sein du groupe HR Holdings assure le traitement et la représentation du navire dans le port côtier.
