Celui-ci relierait Anvers à Venlo via Herentals, Turnhout, le long de l'A67, Eindhoven et Helmond.
  • La Hessenatie va investir 9 mia. de BEF dans des terminaux à containers en trois ans
    Au cours du week-end dernier a été inauguré "opérationnellement", le nouveau terminal à containers que la Hessenatie aménage aux postes 420 à 428 du bassin Churchill, à l'occasion de l'escale du PC "P&ONL Unity", une des unités engagées dans le cadre du groupe EPIC, qui dessert l'Inde et le Pakistan. Ce service hebdomadaire est, à la demande de membres de ce groupe, transféré du terminal de l'Europe sur l'Escaut à ce terminal intérieur pour des raisons déjà évoquées dans ces colonnes. EPIC représente un trafic de quelque 70.000 containers/an soit 98.000 TEU.
  • La hausse du brut inquiète les transporteurs routiers
    La décision - inattendue - par l'Irak de refuser de prolonger le programme "oil-for-food"et qui implique l'arrêt de ses exportations de brut, a causé une nouvelle hausse des cours du brut. Ils avoisinnent désormais les 26 USD le baril (+3% par rapport à la semaine passée). Les économistes craignent l'impact de cette hausse sur l'inflation, mais à plus court terme, c'est dans le transport routier que l'inquiétude est la plus grande. La rentabilité étant proche de zéro dans le secteur en Europe, une hausse du prix du diesel propulserait bon nombre d'entreprises dans les chiffres rouges si elle ne peut être répercutée dans les prix de transport.
