La compagnie aérienne luxembourgeoise souhaite également proposer de nouvelles routes feeder par le rail.
  • Les entreprises flamandes continueront à opter pour le transport routier
    L'organisation patronale flamande VEV a réalisé, en collaboration avec le Centrum voor Industrieel Beleid de l'université de Louvain KUL, une enquête auprès des entreprises flamandes, de laquelle il ressort que 92% de celles-ci font appel au camion pour leurs transports, et qu'elles continueront à l'utiliser, malgré la congestion routière. Elles optent en effet pour le transport routier parce que celui-ci obtient les meilleurs résultats en matière de prix, de flexibilité, de fiabilité et de durée du transport. Cette enquête révèle que le rail et le fluvial ont surtout un problème d'image, dans la mesure où l'appréciation des entreprises qui y font appel est nettement supérieure à celle des entreprises qui ne les utilisent pas.
  • Dyneon investit 250 mio. de BEF dans une nouvelle unité de production et de distribution
    Dyneon, une joint-venture entre 3M et Hoechst pour la production de fluoro-élastomères, a construit une nouvelle unité de production et de distribution sur les terrains de 3M à Zwijndrecht afin de pouvoir répondre à la croissance sensible de ses activités. Le projet représente un investissement de 250 mio. de BEF et doit permettre d'au moins doubler la production annuelle actuelle (de 1.000 t) d'ici l'an prochain. Les nouvelles installations s'étendent sur 3.600 m2 et ont une capacité d'entreposage de 300 t. Dyneon Zwijndrecht assure la distribution européenne des produits.
  • CMA CGM va mettre son service FAL à l'échelle de PC de 6.500 TEU'
    Depuis de nombreux mois, la direction du groupe CMA CGM étudiait la possibilité de passer commande d'une série de 8 unités d'une capacité supérieure à celle de 4.000 TEU qu'il utilise actuellement. Les études ont d'abord porté sur des unités de 5.500 TEU, puis 6.000 TEU et finalement un accord est pratiquement passé avec deux chantiers asiatiques (Daewoo et Samsung), qui livreront chacun 4 PC de 6.500 TEU dans le courant de la seconde moitié de 2001.
