    Le transport routier français a connu quatre grands conflits en quatre ans, dont les deux derniers au cours des neuf mois écoulés. Sous l’angle national, cette situation reflète un malaise profond : il a été analysé par René Petit, président de la FNTR (Fédération Nationale des Transports Routiers). Sous l’angle international, toute l’Europe est pénalisée lorsque les infrastructures française sont bloquées par des barrages : des représentants de fédérations étrangères n’ont pas manqué de le souligner, parfois sans prendre de gants. Dans son propre intérêt comme pour rester crédible auprès des pays voisins, la France du transport routier doit donc sortir des crises à répétition. Reste à savoir comment. Petit, en tot cas, a lancé un appel à la régulation, afin de permettre aux transporteurs de répercuter les hausses de coûts auprès de la clientèle.
  • Dunkerque, Calais et Boulogne à l’heure des synergies?
    On en parle depuis des années et Michel Delbarre, le maire de Dunkerque, qui en est un grand partisan, relance régulièrement la perspective. Mais il semblerait cette fois que le projet de coopération entre les ports de Dunkerque, Calais et Boulogne soit entré dans une nouvelle phase, celle des réflexions plus poussées sur les modalités d’un rapprochement. Coopération ne veut pas pour autant dire fusion à terme. L’administration française semble avoir trouvé l’expression adéquate en la qualifiant “d’interportuarité”.

    “Le short sea shipping a désormais le vent en poupe et il augmente progressivement ses volumes. Le shortsea doit améliorer la stratégie en matière de transport en Europe et contribuera au développement du commerce intra-européen.” Alfons Guinier, secrétaire général de l’ECSA (European Community Shipowners’ Associations), qui clôturait les débats lors de la dernière convention Euro-Med qui s’est tenue récemment à Valence, s’est montré résolument optimiste quant à l’avenir de cette formule de transport. On en parle depuis quelques années, les résultats ne sont pas spectaculaires pour l’instant, mais il serait erroné de croire que cela ne bouge pas, bien au contraire. “La promotion se poursuit, se développe, mais c’est du long terme”, a-t-il ajouté.
