    ABX Logistics devrait procéder dans les mois - et même dans les semaines - à venir à des acquisitions. Il s'agira d'une part de compléter le réseau terrestre en France et en Grande-Bretagne, et d'autre part celui à l'overseas, en Amérique du Nord principalement. C'est ce qui a été annoncé en marge de la SITL à l'occasion d'une conférence de presse au cours de laquelle était présentée la nouvelle structure d'ABX Logistics en France. Cette nouvelle structure est née de la récente reprise de la totalité des actions du groupe Dubois.
  • Rouen entend développer la fonction logistique à l'ombre de "Port 2000"
    "Nous sommes en fait un petit Anvers, toutefois, sur le plan français, nous avons réussi notre réforme portuaire et partant, nous pouvons nous positionner dans le domaine de la logistique bord-à-quai, ce qui est d'ailleurs déjà réalité". Alain Cazorla, directeur commercial du port autonome de Rouen, présent avec un stand à l'exposition de la SITL, ne cache pas sa satisfaction devant les résultats déjà obtenus et les perspectives qui se présentent. "Nous avons réalisé l'année dernière et pour la première fois de notre histoire un score de plus de 24 mio. de t et ce sans hydrocarbures, soit une hausse de 13,6%. Quant à la logistique elle se fait bord-à-quai, sans dockers pour les transferts, sans dockers dans les hangars", ajoute-t-il.
  • Canadian Airlines quitte l'alliance Oneworld
    Canadian Airlines se retirera de l'alliance Oneworld à compter du premier juin 2000. La compagnie figurait pourtant parmi les membres fondateurs de l'alliance. Cette décision fait suite à la reprise de la compagnie par Air Canada, qui fait partie de la Star Alliance. Le départ de Canadian Airlines réduit sensiblement les possibilités d'accès de Oneworld au marché canadien et porte donc un coup dur à Cathay Pacific. Entre-temps, AMR Corp., le holding d'Americain Airlines, envisage de faire une offre sur Canadian.
  • La CE approuve les normes techniques pour le tachygraphe digital
    Le comité technique de la Commission européenne a approuvé en début de semaine les spécifications techniques pour le tachygraphe digital. L'ordonnance relative à son utilisation n'entrera en vigueur qu'après parution dans la publication officielle de l'UE. Cela peut prendre deux à trois mois. Ensuite, les Etats-membres disposeront d'une période transitoire de deux à trois ans pour l'instauration du tachygraphe digital, donc au plus tôt à l'été 2002.
