    `C’est avec l’assistance de remorqueurs des Abeilles que le navire “ENIF” (12.000 - 156 m de long) a fait son entrée le 13 décembre dernier au port du Havre. Alors qu’il se trouvait à 50 km au large de Guernesey il dut faire appel au Centre Opérationnel de Surveillance et de Sauvetage de Jobourg dans la Manche, car victime d’une défaillance de l’appareil de gouvernail. Deux remorqueurs sont venus l’assister pour le conduite au Havre. Le navire transportait une cargaison de bois en fardeaux et 200 containers.
  • Watco investit 1 mia. de BEF dans un centre de transbordement et de tri au port d’Anvers
    D’ici 2002, le groupe de traitement de déchets Watco va ériger un grand centre de transbordement et de tri pour déchets non dangereux sur une concession de 12 ha le long de la Noorderlaan dans la zone portuaire d’Anvers. Ce projet constitue un investissement d’environ 1 mia. de BEF (24,7 mio. d’EUR), selon la Gazet van Antwerpen. Watco entendrait dans le même temps centraliser le transport de papier recyclé, carton, etc. à Anvers. Actuellement, cela représente 14.000 containers de 40’ sur une base annuelle, mais ce volume pourrait passer à 26.000 unités pour 2005. A terme, ce projet offrirait de l’emploi à 130 personnes.
