  • Les ports flamands à l'heure d'un décret portuaire
    Avant de partir en vacances, le gouvernement de la Flandre a approuvé l'arrêté d'exécution se rapportant au décret portuaire qui a pour effet de situer les ports de mer dans un cadre opérationnel bien défini comportant certaines règles. Ledit décret implique notamment l'engagement d'un "commissaire portuaire" et définit pour les administrations portuaires les règles en matière de droit d'acquisition, ainsi que la composition et le fonctionnement de la Commission portuaire flamande. Figure également la création d'organes de concertation sous-régionaux. Les ports seront désormais inscrits dans un encadrement assez strict en ce qui concerne la politique et la gestion, dont le principal objectif est d'éviter des concurrences internes néfastes et une utilisation optimale des investissements.
  • CMA CGM: trois services sur l'AN lui conféreraient le titre de "Global carrier"
    Dès le 1er novembre prochain, du moins si les négociations en cours avec Mærsk Sealand aboutissent, l'armement français CMA CGM, assurerait prochainement 3 services distincts sur l'Atlantique, du Nord au Sud. Les négociations en question portent sur une location de slots, soit l'équivalent de 600 TEU par semaine dans chaque sens. Si l'accord est réalisé, ce qui devrait intervenir d'ici trois à quatre semaines, CMA CGM pourrait alors se parer du titre de"global carrier" à part entière. Pour l'instant en effet, l'armement français n'a qu'une faible activité sur l'Atlantique, du moins au départ de la façade atlantique de l'Europe, via son service Tour du monde assuré en coopération avec Marfret et Contship, service westbound qui touche New York, Norfolk et Savannah.
