    Après la défection d'APL et de MOL, qui négociaient avec en premier lieu Americana Ships et Grand Alliance dans le cadre de la restructuration qui doit marquer d'ici quelques mois une bonne partie des trafics sur l'Atlantique, ces deux derniers partenaires se devaient de réagir. D'où la publication d'un communiqué qui n'a guère dévoilé plus que ce que l'on savait déjà, à savoir qu'ils avaient décidé que cette restructuration/rationalisation se fera en fonction de 5 services distincts. Pour le reste, c'est-à-dire le concept desdits services, exception faite pour le service PAX, leur rotation, les types de navires, la position des co-chargeurs, tout cela doit encore faire l'objet de mises au point.

  • CMA CGM: un résultat net en hausse de 56%
    L'exercice 99, le premier clos depuis la fusion, a été bon pour le groupe CMA CGM. Le Holding CMA CGM a réalisé un CA consolidé de 9,5 mia. de FRF, en hausse de 18%. Le résultat d'exploitation est passé de 378,3 mio. à 453,9 mio. de FRF, soit une hausse de 20%. Le résultat net (part du groupe) du holding a atteint 319,9 mio. de FRF contre 199,4 mio. en 98 (+56%). Quant au résultat social de la filiale CMA CGM s.a., il s'élève à 187,6 mio. de FRF. Le cash flow représentait quelque 500 mio. de FRF. En date du 31 décembre, le groupe affichait une situation nette positive de 1,8 mia. de FRF.

    Pour concentrer une partie de ses exportations d'eaux minérales (Evian et Volvic), le groupe Danone avait besoin de créer une plate-forme dans la partie sud de l'Europe. C'est le site Fos-Distriport, la toute récente zone logistique du port de Marseille-Fos, qui a été retenu. Dans un premier temps, il n'y aura guère d'effet sur la répartition des trafics entre les façades maritimes nord et sud de l'Europe. Mais à terme, il devrait y avoir un rééquilibrage des flux d'exportations en faveur du Sud.
