En France, le transport par la voie d’eau a enregistré l’année dernière une hausse de 6,7% des volumes, à 58,7 millions de tonnes, et de 6,3% en prestations de transport, à 7,72 milliards de tonnes-kilomètres. La batellerie progresse plus vite que la route (+1,2%) et le rail (+6,2%), ses deux concurrents, constate avec satisfaction Voies Navigables de France.
