L’année dernière, le taux de croissance s’est élevé à 6%: de 1,87 milliard de tonnes en 1999, le trafic en question était passé à 1,98 mia. de t en 2000. D’après Clarkson, la hausse restera limitée cette année à 0,5%, ce qui donnera un résultat final de 1,99 mia. de t. Pour les autres “cargaisons sèches”, Clarkson table sur une progression de 4%, de 1,43 à 1,49 mia. de t.
