Sur les 270 amendements qui avaient été présentés, environ 80% ont été écartés ou retirés (en fait, certains d’entre eux se recoupaient). Bref, une cinquantaine sont passés. Toutefois, le rapporteur Georg Jarzembowski a vu son document connaître un sort assez particulier. Il y avait une majorité en sa faveur, mais lors du vote, il y eut 26 voix pour, 21 contre et 11 abstentions, ce qui signifie que la position adoptée n’est pas très claire. D’où sa décision de remettre son rapport à l’ordre du jour de la prochaine session, moyennant certaines adaptations. Le séminaire organisé jeudi dernier à Anvers par l’ESPO sur la politique portuaire européenne venait donc bien à propos, car force a été de constater qu’il y a encore beaucoup à faire, tant les divergences subsistent entre les diverses parties concernées.
