  • Freight Traders se lance sur le marché du Benelux
    Le marché virtuel pour les transports Freight Traders, lancé au UK par le groupe alimentaire britannique Mars, a étendu son champ d’activité au continent. Il s’agit d’un système internet mettant en rapport les chargeurs et les transporteurs afin qu’ils puissent conclure des contrats de transport. A l’opposé d’une bourse de transport (telle que Teleroute, par exemple) Freight Traders ne met pas l’accent sur les commandes “spot” (trouver du fret de retour dans le cadre d’un transport spécifique), mais dans 90% des cas sur des contrats de transport à moyen terme (en général de quelques mois à deux ans). “Et, contrairement aux nombreuses bourses de transport internet qui se sont créées pendant la vague des “dotcoms”, notre système est opérationnel, avec un portefeuille d’utilisateurs conséquent”, nous a expliqué Joe Critchley, directeur pour le marché européen.
