  • Cosco veut créer un réseau logistique mondial d’ici la fin de l’année
    L’armement chinois Cosco (China Ocean Shipping Co.) a annoncé son intention de développer un réseau logistique mondial d’ici la fin de l’année dans le but de se profiler comme un prestataire de services logistiques. C’est ce qu’a déclaré Lin Hongbin, le manager de Coscon (une des dizaines de filiales de Cosco et un spécialiste du transport de containers), au “China Ocean News”. Cosco dispose déjà d’une structure logistique impressionante en Chine et aux Etats-Unis, ce qui n’est pas le cas en Europe. Cosco suivra-t-il l’exemple d’APL Logistics en reprenant un prestataire de services paneuropéen?

    Le chiffre d’affaires d’Eurotunnel au premier semestre 2001 a été de 2 852 mio. de FRF soit, à taux de change constant, une baisse de 4 % par rapport au premier semestre 2000. Elle était due aux activités autres que le transport, à savoir le commerce de détail et les télécoms. Le CA dans le transport est demeuré au même niveau que l’an dernier malgré une relance de la lutte concurrentielle due à la surcapacité apparue à la suite du ralentissement économique et de la crise de la fièvre aphteuse. La perte nette a baissé assez sensiblement. Pour l’ensemble de 2001, l’exploitant du tunnel sous la Manche s’attend à une baisse du résultat d’exploitation. Il apparaît en outre que l’objectif de financer en 2002 les intérêts de la dette à l’aide du cash flow ne sera pas atteint.

    Tractebel LNG est la nouvelle filiale de l’unité opérationnelle Electricité et Gaz International du groupe Tractebel, qui a pour tâche de développer davantage les activités en matière de GNL. A cet effet, on pense à la construction de nouvelles installations de liquéfaction de gaz naturel, une plus grande capacité de transport et à de nouveaux terminaux d’entreposage et de gazéification.
