BOEING, the aerospace group, said yesterday that it expects the world's aircraft fleet to more than double from 14,500 to 33,000 over the next 20 years, to meet growth in air travel of 4.7 per cent a year.
The company said that commercial airlines will spend $1.7 trillion (£1,200 billion) during the period on 4,200 smaller jets and 18,100 larger aircraft. ...... Read more on The Times
