Cet accord de collaboration porte sur la logistique, la distribution, les services à valeur ajoutée et le transport routier.

    Liège Airport a vu passer l’an dernier 273.217 tonnes de fret, près de 3.000 tonnes de plus qu’en 2000. L’aéroport régional wallon a enregistré une évolution comparable du côté des passagers, avec 206.798 personnes, soit 6.000 de plus qu’en 2000. Les prévisions sont excellentes pour cette année.

Dès lors, il ne serait pas surprenant que les nouvelles qui circulent actuellement dans les mlilieux des courtiers, bien que non confirmées ni contredites par l’intéressé, trouvent concrétisation dans les faits. Ces rumeurs font état d’une commande éventuelle au chantier naval d’Odense, qui fait partie du même groupe, d’une série de six porte-containers de la classe “S”. Cette classe, dont il existe déjà plusieurs exemplaires, a officieusement une capacité de 8.000 TEU, mais les caractéristiques des nouveaux navires seraient encore extrapolées (surtout dans la largeur) pour atteindre une capacité de 10.000 TEU. Une première unité serait livrée à la fin de cette année, les autres suivraient jusqu’en 2004.
